ProduHacks: 1st Place Winner

I led my team to win first place at the ProduHacks X EY hackathon with our innovative platform that connects urban gardeners and promotes sustainable food production. Participating taught me valuable project management skills and the importance of effective communication and collaboration.

I am excited to share that my team and I emerged as winners of the ProduHacks X EY hackathon, hosted by UBC BizTech Network. As a product manager, I had the privilege of leading my team through the ideation, design, development, and pitching of our innovative garden sharing service and community platform, which won first place overall.

Our platform not only offers a unique solution to connecting landowners and gardeners for the purpose of urban farming and gardening but also contributes towards sustainable and locally sourced food production. By reducing the carbon footprint associated with transporting food from distant locations, our platform promotes ecologically conscious approaches to farming. Additionally, our platform provides a forum where members can share knowledge and resources related to sustainable gardening practices, fostering a community of like-minded individuals passionate about creating positive change for the environment.

Participating in ProduHacks X EY was an invaluable growth experience for me as a project manager. Working under tight deadlines while maintaining the quality of work and fostering a positive team environment taught me the importance of effective communication, adaptability, and delegation of tasks. I am grateful for the opportunity to have honed my project management skills while building lasting relationships with like-minded individuals who share my passion for sustainable food production.
